The Power of Breathwork

Breathing is the most natural thing we do, yet so often we are unaware that we are doing it, and pay little attention to how we are breathing. Learning how to be present and control our breath is a very valuable and life changing tool, after all breath is life.

What is breathwork?

Breathwork is the active form of consciously working your breath to bypass the mind and enter a different state of awareness.  It is done by performing rhythmic breathing. By doing this, you are accessing your body’s innate ability to heal itself physically, mentally, and spiritually.

When we do breathwork we become  aware of our different emotions and feelings, in turn being able to re pattern and change them . 

There are many different breathing techniques that are available to use, depending on what suits you.

What are some of the healing benefits of breathwork? There are many healing benefits of breathwork such as:

  • Reducing anxiety by allowing our bodies to go into rest and digest. (opposed to fight or flight)
  • Reduce pain 
  • Improve digestion 
  • Release toxins from body 
  • Release trapped trauma in body and cells
  • Increase self love/joy
  • Connect to higher consciousness
