Self-Care

Sometimes in life, we have to put ourselves first. It means at times we need to say ” no” when we would normally say “yes”. Remove ourselves from negative energies and people who bring us down.

I have learnt over the years self-care is crucial to my health and well-being. Setting time aside for relaxation, increases the blood flow around your body, lowers your heart rate, increasing your energy. Relaxation is our minds way of releasing stress, helping us gain clarity and peace of mind. Assists us to think more positive, improves concentration and focus.

Self-care for me means allowing my energy to rejuvenate and recharge. I find, if I don’t spend this time, I feel drained and lack energy. I feel it’s important to have some “you time” and do something that makes you feel good.

I love to paint and meditate. Sometimes I will go on a nature walk and listen to natures whispers. Once a week I will go to the beach and just enjoy the beauty of the surrounds.
