Owl Spirit Animal
While passing the Natural History Museum in the town I live in, I heard a scuttle, bird noises, children, it sounded like excited people. I ran in to see what was going on and they were showing an owl to a crowd of people. I always wonder what the message is when I encounter an animal and I began to think about the owl and what it represented. When I compared the encounter with what is going on in my life, I see an animal that makes its way in the dark. A great message, sometimes there is darkness in our lives, we have to find the way through to the other side.
The owl seems to be attached to a higher wisdom, intuition and instinct. In the tough times, it is those things that I turn to. I wonder to myself is it a change I need to make, a habit I need to lose or will I lose something myself? What a great way for the universe to give us messages through animals or for us to identify with that animal. Pay attention to your surroundings, you never know where your message will be.
If you are a person who identifies with the owl as a spirit animal, I see you as an old soul, who is tapped into themself. One who uses their instincts in dealing with the world. You advise and help your friends who all seem to turn to you for help. A beacon of light for friends and family, a source of wisdom and shoulder to lean on. We all need to spread out wings and navigate the darkness sometimes.
