Here is a basic meditation which is a good start. Basic Meditation Steps: Commit to meditating upon awakening and right before bedtime. Select a quiet and comfortable place where you won’t be interrupted. It doesn’t need to be an entire room just a place you can call sacred space. Get comfortable. Lying down is fine if you know you won’t fall asleep. Keep your arms uncrossed so that energy can flow freely through your body. Loosen or take off any binding clothing. Linen works best. Close your eyes. Inhale deeply and slowly through your nose. Allow yourself to enjoy the feeling of taking in fresh air until it completely fills your lungs. Hold the breath for four seconds or longer. Slowly exhale through your mouth. Feel the release of all you’re worries, concerns, or tension as you let the air out.
As you continue to breathe in and out, there are many ways to enjoy meditating. You can use a guided meditation in which you hold a specific image of your guides and angels, or just a prayer in mind. Begin with the basic meditation steps, then: Visualise the top of your head opening like a sky dome or the petals of a flower. Picture a beautiful cloud above your head. See it brightly illuminated in your favorite color. This cloud is the infinite wisdom and the all encompassing love of the Divine Creator. Ask the cloud to enter the top of your head Continue to take deep breaths, and see the cloud being drawn into your entire body with each breath you take. See your self filled with and surrounded by this beautifully colored cloud. Know that during the hours that follow, you only need to think of this color, and you will instantly have access to any answers or information you need. Your thought of this color will remind you that you are completely loved and cared for. Allow yourself to relax and enjoy the moment, knowing that during the day the infinite intelligence and love within will always guide you. You can let go of any concerns about your upcoming day because you trust this wisdom to guide you in every way. Ask your inner guide to help you stay centered in thoughts of divine love and intelligence throughout the day. Release this request on full faith, reassured that you are truly loved and fully supported.
“The ending of sorrow is the beginning of wisdom. Knowledge is always within the shadow of ignorance. Meditation is freedom from thought and a movement in the ecstasy of truth. Meditation is explosion of intelligence”. – Krishnamurti
