We recently lost our beloved dog after 9 happy years all together. I doubt the need to share the sorrow of lost we experienced , each one of us lost beloved one during their life weather it is family members, good old friends or a loyal loving pet like Sulta, our dog was. There is no way to replace lost as such and sometimes the grief process takes a while before we are out of the tears and finding ourself smiling again. However when comes to pet I found a great solution. it happened to us when our cat died. we burried her close to home and for a moment there it felt so painful for such long terms that I thought maybe her spirit cant let go of us and she is locked around us searching her way back home.
So I went and got us two new cats brothers, and the different was very powerful. if we had time to be sad earlier our hand were filled with nurturing the new kittens, run with them to the vet making sure they are not locked behind furniture and sure, falling asleep with both of them cuddling with us- if my former cat spirit was worried about us it felt like she could fly away to her ongoing journey. Out there the need of homes for rescue animals is increasing fastly. It is my best recommendation especially for those of us who lost their dear pet: get a new one. give it the love that you gave to your late friend and this will rapidly feel the void in your heart.not to mention that for one creature at least you will be the closest thing to a god.
