Flexibility and adaptability are key to navigating the twists and turns of life. I was thrown a curve ball this week when my daughter’s massive surgery was canceled, apparently because of a tone of voice a therapist used on her a few weeks earlier, which didn’t agree with her.
It was decided she wasn’t mature enough to handle the recovery, so her surgery has been canceled for three or four years. This means the current one is no longer an option as that is time sensitive and must be carried out at a certain age.
It feels bizarre that a major surgery is ultimately decided by someone’s tone of voice and my daughter’s reaction to it, but I do trust her surgeon when he says that the recovery will be too much for her and that it is best to wait.
I asked the universe to do what was best for my daughter and my family, and that is manifestation at it’s best. I let go of expectation and just accepted what would occur. This is a huge change of what was expected this year, but I am relieved that the universe has come up with a novel plan to change the outcome, and now we can go back to normal life for a few years until fate twists and turns again.
Her Surgeon gave her the directive to go home and have fun, and live your life . This I’m sure we can do, and relish the fact that it is not yet her time to undergo this procedure. Being adaptable and flexible is so important, and I often counsel my clients to change perspective in order to reach a place of happiness. If you feel like you are heading against the flow of the stream, consider turning around, and allowing yourself to be carried away by the direction of the currents. It really makes life a whole lot easier.
